The acronym for Flora Elements Education and Design is FEED. You will be immersed in premium flowers, technical skills, real-life experiences, and the tools to help you succeed and be the best professional florist upon exiting your programs.
The programs are designed around Lisa’s love of flowers and travel as she contributes most of her success to her travels and learning the industry as a whole. Feeding your senses and getting your fingers dirty is only the beginning. Appreciating where your pretty flowers actually grow, how they get here, identifying them, and the seasons are critical to being a professional florist. The overall feeling will be exploring every aspect of the industry, testing your knowledge, and pushing outside the box thinking. Lisa’s desire to teach floral design comes from a need to educate Principles, Elements, Techniques, and Mechanics. Students should have these mastered before moving onto free forms, abstracts, and competitions. Each program is procured for the different needs of each student. Some classes will be condensed for those who have limited time and others will be extended for students who wish to have a more hands-on approach and event setup experiences. Our classroom is a working environment which means you will take orders, interact with retail customers, brides, vendors and so much more.
