AIFD (American Institute of Floral Design) and Wildflower Media joined forces in 2019 to give the AIFD members a sweet treat for the eyes. Any of the 2,000 AIFD members worldwide could submit entries until late October.

There were categories they were looking for and for each one you decided to fill in it was required you have multiple views of an arrangement, floral and foliage included, and one design tip or how you constructed the arrangement if it was not obvious.

Choosing a worthy floral composition for each category was not an easy task. There is a balancing act between share and keep for your personal and social media collection.

If you decide to submit a design, all your photos go on lockdown until you know it has been accepted or denied. Not hearing anything for over seven months was torture. I’m still in the waiting process of what pictures have been chosen to be published so all my photos are still on lockdown.

Your Instructor, Lisa Belisle AIFD is being published with 24 designers around the world is an amazing feeling to have a melting pot of talent and varying skill sets with cultures infused.

I love looking at a person’s floral designs and seeing how their culture and landscape have influenced their floral selections and choice of mechanics.

AIFD accredited designers strive to educate and push the boundaries on floral design while educating the entire world that not all floral has to come in a vase.

Join me on my celebration with my fellow AIFD members in our first-ever collaborative book Artistic Floral Design 2020.
